Before we decorated the cake on Sunday, we all piled into the family van and headed to Chucky Cheese to have some fun for John's birthday....even the big kids, Samantha and Mitchell. It was great fun!! John dragged me from one game to the other. My favorite was the Mario driving game. Since John couldn't reach the gas and break pedals, he sat on my lap and took the wheel while I worked the pedals. What a team!!
For the kids, I think their most exciting part was when Chucky came walking out and they got to say hi....in fact, Izzy got a hug from him as we left.
As you can see, we had a blast in their photo machine. It was really a magical, fun time. We got there early and left when it started to get crowded so it was almost like John had his own private party! We pooled all our tickets and ended up with over 1,200 which turned into some nice prizes for the kids.
Note: And to think his mom's first job was at Chucky Cheese at age 15 and there were times when she actually wore the Chucky costume for parades and other events.
