Snowstorm slams much of Wisconsin

Drivers Warned To Stay Off Roads

WISCONSIN - Motorists are warned to stay off the road Saturday evening through Sunday.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm and Blizzard warning in most Wisconsin counties till Sunday. Snow, high winds, and dropping temperatures may lead to white out conditions on the roads.
Storm Knocks Out Power
MILWAUKEE - We Energies says 6,700 customers are without power this morning due to the storm.

In our area, Washington County is among the hardest hit when it comes to outages. High winds and icing have been among the biggest problems.

The company says it has crews out working to restore outages. The high winds today could cause problems for those crews.

We Energies expects that the number of outages will go up as more people wake up to find their power out.

7:00 Sunday Morning:  It's too early to grab any photos off the internet from any of the local news sites but you only need one word to describe what it looks like when you look out the window....WHITE!  By our house (Northwest side of Milwaukee), we didn't get much snow but what we do have is blowing and drifting.  In fact, in some spots we have less snow than before the storm started.....the high winds have blown it away. Because of the high winds, the temperatures are dangerously low and they advise if you don't HAVE to go out - DON'T.  Catch ya later; hopefully with some photos.
