Happy Halloween!!!

Yes, we will actually have our little trick-or-treaters out and about on Halloween, October 31st, this year. I have my candy ready (a few less Tootsie Rolls than when the bag was ripped open when I needed a chocolate fix) and will be manning the front door as usual.  If it's nice, maybe I'll sit out on the porch and knit while waiting for those little witches, ninjas and princesses to arrive.  Yes, I'm still waiting for the Crayola kids to reappear (like I do every year) but I have realized that they were from 'yesteryear' Halloween times and if I ever want to see them again, I will have to take my own 4-going on 5 grandchildren and dress them myself out of a Crayola Crayon box.

So in between watching the Packers run touchdowns, Brett Favre gimp around and watching Grandpa asleep on the couch, I will be passing out candy (holding back the small boxes of Dots since those are one of Grandpa's favorites) with my memories of when our own kids went door to door yelling "Trick or Treat", the great costumes they wore and how they are now outfitting their own kids for the big day.

Hope the sun shines like yesterday!!  It was beautiful!
