Just the right size........

Now, I like ice cream....no, I LOVE ice cream and I really should not have it in the house.  It falls in the same category as potatoe chips and chocolate.  However, chocolate will always be in this house because I will go into withdrawal if I go too long without it.  I seem to have more will-power with ice cream and chips but Edy's has just made it easier for me.  The trick for me is NOT to have a whole 1/2 gallon because I will dig into in with a spoon and before I know it, I have eaten 2,345 calories and 28 grams of fat!  But check out this little one serving size cartons Edy's has come out with....what a concept!  Yes, I read the label and it IS only one serving!  Now, I took my handy-dandy calculator from WW and figured out that one carton (at least the Double Fudge Brownie) is 5 points.  Now, that may seem like a lot but when I'm on WW and really get into the "zone", I would get to the end of the day and have lots of points left over; my problem would be that I wouldn't eat ENOUGH during the day.  Granted, you should not eat the majority of your daily food allowance at night BUT, think about this......I could eat one of these babies like in the middle of the day; I mean I had the points to use and just should not use them all at night.  Now, that's an idea!  Who am I kidding, ice cream is ice cream and it's full of fat and calories and it doesn't matter when you eat it, it still is not the most healthy thing to eat (even if it is a dairy product); frozen yogurt would be the better choice.  HOWEVER, I do like this idea of these little individual servings.....at least I'm not eating a whole 1/2 gallon in maybe 3 sittings.  Besides, have you ever seen anything so cute!!  And, they happen to be on sale at Pick 'n Save so I thought I would give them a try.  Hey, who am I to not to try a new product on the market, especially when it's cold, creamy and full of fat!

It sort of reminds of of the dixie-cups of ice cream we used to get on the 4th of July at the parks....ahh, the good old days!
