Shelly, Trinity and Madison are with us this Christmas for the first time in too many years to count. And, of course, Wisconsin had to show them the proper "Welcome" with a lot of snow....not the kind they get down in Tennessee that disappears by the afternoon....but good old Wisconsin snow that comes, gets hard and stays hard past just one day!
The kind that makes the perfect backdrop for "Winter Wonderland" photos - Madison, pretty in pink!
The kind that you have to shovel in order to get your car out of your driveway - PopPop found a shovel for Trinity who dug right in to help!
The kind that for making snowmen and the "snow fort". PopPop gave the girls a lesson in the construction techniques.
The kind that you can actually hold in your hands.
And, the kind that makes for great snowball fights. Mommy tagging Trinity.
I'm happy that the girls were able to enjoy a Christmas this year that included snow. We, in Wisconsin take it for granted and actually get tired of it and at times, wish it would just go away but for these girls, it was a white dream come true and their delight was so contagious that for one day, we could forget about the work that snow brings but embrace the fun it creates!!
To be a kid again.....even for just one day!
