Mr. Clean

I don't have the real Mr. Clean (just his 'erasers') living in my house but I have someone pretty darn close to him....Grandpa!

Tuesday is the BIG moving day so we have been busting our 'you-know-whats' getting this place packed up, thrown out, Goodwilled, put on the curb (with some takers of our junk, I might add) and yesterday and today we took on the kitchen stove and refrigerator (since they are going with the house)....actually, I have to give credit to Grandpa for his clean skills and for keeping me moving with him on this chore. He 'self-cleaned' the oven yesterday (of course on one of the hottest days of the summer) while he kept me safe from the fumes in the bedroom with an air cleaner going since my asthma has been kicking up with all the dust flying around in here (doctor's orders "Wear a mask"). It turned out WONDERFUL!!

Today we attacked the refrigerator which really wasn't that hard to do since there is no food left in it.....Grandpa says he's not transporting perishable foods. I was informed we were not going grocery shopping any more and had to eat what was in the house. That's a good idea, but I think the pickings are getting a little slim....I'm having chocolate pudding cups and mandarin oranges for supper. I don't know what Grandpa is having. Anyway, we took all the shelves and drawers out, scrubbed them down and  made it look so clean that I am wondering how I can sneak it into the moving truck to take it with us. I don't like the one we have in Tennessee....it's one of those two-door models. The freezer is so narrow that you can't even fit a Tombstone pizza in it unless you put it on an angle, corner-to-corner. But, it came with the house, it works and Grandpa says I have to adjust. The fridge is now spic 'n span for the new owners....in fact, with it being so empty and clean, it just about blinds ya when you open the door!

Yep, Grandpa has been a 'whirlwind'....you should see the job he did in the garage and basement. I think I'll keep him, now that he is retired and has caught the 'cleaning bug.' And, the added bonus is that he has a little more hair on his head than Mr. Clean....just a little more (-:
