Shelly has some really great friends at work who threw her a baby shower on Sunday. As you can see, she got some wonderful gifts including a crib, dresser (with dressing table on tob) and car seat. It was especially fun since Trinity and Madison were along for the fun and excitement in anticipation of their new baby sister due to arrive in February.
AND, we have a name for the little 'bundle of joy'.........
Lexi Anne
Lexi because Shelly thinks it's different, short, sweet and thought it goes well with Trinity and Madison. The Anne for two different reasons; Trinity wanted to call her Anna so her mom compromised by using Anne for the middle name because it's Aunt Becky's middle name and the second half of Trinity and cousin Isabelle's middle name, LeeAnne. Grandma is already calling her "Lexi-Lu" while Grandpa has tagged her Annabelle since he had his heart set on that name.
Needless to say, even though this baby was a "surprise", she is coming into this world welcomed by a mom who still can't believe she will be the mother of three, two big sisters who think this is the best thing since Hannah Montana, and grandparents who are SO looking forward to their 5th grandchild!!
Note: Each of our grandchildren was gifted with a "Taggie" blanket with their name on it. It's only November with months to go and this is not my "first rodeo". I'll wait to order this blanket because Madison was supposed to be a Taylor Michele who ended up with that name being covered up with iron-on pink hearts on her Taggie. Think we'll wait to see what the birth certificate says first this time around!
