Open House on Sunday!!!

We are having an "Open House" this Sunday so we are busy getting everything in order to make it a rip-roaring success.  It isn't our first open house but I think our real estate agent has plans of it being the last because hey, let's face it...if it ain't selling, she isn't making any money! So she's pulling out all the stops on this one.  We have timed it for this Sunday 11:30 to 1:30; NOT to interfere with the Packers/Vikings game which does not start till 5:00 p.m. It is also timed to be going on when the church up on the corner ends its Sunday service. So the flags will be flying at the end of the block and the signs will be up.  Postcards have been mailed to other agencies and she will have a loan officer on duty just in case the need arises.

As for our part, the house is in really great shape.  While all the neighbors have been busy pulling out their summer flowers and plants, we left ours so our geraniums and mums are blooming like crazy and the Halloween flag is up on the house. It looks very festive and colorful! Grandpa did the last leaf 'pick-up' with the lawn mower this morning and tomorrow we will do the little bit of picking up around the inside and putting stuff away.....makes the house look roomier.

Our agent has hopes to get us down to Tennessee in time for the holidays and we certainly are hoping for the same.  The house has been on the market one year this month, we are both retired and want to get on with the next chapter of our lives.  So, wish us luck!!

Oh, and we have a statute of St. Joseph buried in the front yard by the "For Sale" sign. It's suppose to bring luck in selling a house and who are we to knock the 'patron saint' of anything?
