There's Raisin Bread....then....There's RAISIN BREAD!!

For a very, very long time Grandpa has been buying this raisin bread at Sam's Club.  He has loved it!  He raves about it and claims he has never tasted a better raisin bread.  I have to agree with him.  This bread is chocked-full of raisins and you know it's good because it weighs a ton! Whenever we would go to Sam's, we would always buy at least two loafs; one for the freezer and one for him to dive into.  We were even stopped during one of our trips to Sam's when another customer saw it in our cart.  And, he went on to rave about it; that even his kids loved it.  Grandpa usually has a few pieces for breakfast right out of the plastic bag with a glass of milk. And, he kept a very close eye on his supply to make sure he did not run out because breakfast would just not be the same and it would be a terrible way to start the day.

So, you can imagine when on one of shopping trips to Sam's a while ago they didn't have it.  Grandpa was heartbroken but we figured it was just a fluke and they would have it next time.  Nope.  In fact, they haven't had it for a long time now.  I even tried another Sam's to see if I couldn't find some to make him happy but it wasn't meant to be.  We've tried other brands from Pick 'n Save but it just is not the same and it actually cost more than Sam's.

Well, today Grandpa googled The Oregon Trail site and was delighted to read that because of the overwhelming complaints from Sam's customers that they no longer carried this super raisin bread that they were rethinking their decision and were planning on bringing it back.  There was even a form letter that he printed off from the site addressed to the Store or Club Manager thanking them for deciding to carry Oregon Trail once again!!  We'll be dropping that off on our next trip to Sam's and keep waiting for the bread to arrive back in the store once again!!

It's the 'little things' that make life special!
