Grandpa and I went to Madison to celebrate his birthday on Saturday. We had such a GREAT TIME! There were decorations and a special hat for the 'birthday boy'. We got to go watch Mitchell's baseball team whip the pants off the best team in the league. That was fun; especially since we, the spectators, were loud and rowdy. Did you know that banging your hands on a wooden picnic table makes great noise? And, we got to watch Izzy go down the slide head first on her stomach and John chase bears...through the fence in the woods with some other kids. First he said it was a Polar bear, then a brown bear and I think once he said it was a baby bear. Whatever, he had fun on his safari!! Luckily we got our game in and got home to relax on the patio before the pouring rain started. Oh, and we got the grand tour (before the rain) of the Maier Landscaping Extravaganza....they have got the most beautiful flower gardens....I'm so jealous. Then Mike and Becky cooked a great dinner and we topped it off with birthday cake and ice cream.
Thank you Mike, Becky and family for giving Grandpa one of the best birthdays he has had in a very long time and will always remember how special it was!
