We've had a visitor to our yard during the last week......a very pretty red cardinal who I have named Carl. When I left this morning to run an errand, I spotted him on the neighbor's front yard and when I got home, he was on our front lawn. So, I decided to see if I couldn't sneek a picture of him. Unfortunately, as always with me......my battery in the camera was dead so I had to put it on the charger and hope that I might be able to catch him later in the day. He does seem to spend a lot of time in our back yard (sometimes along with his 'significant other', Carly) so I set the camera down near the patio door in the kitchen so I would be prepared to take the shot when he appeared the next time. Well, he didn't show up again until Grandpa came home from work so he decided to try his luck......but.....of course, no battery. So I had to run and get that out of the charger, and then he tried taking it throught the screen. That really didn't work so he very quietly opened the door and snapped. Now, I know it's far away and sort of hard to see Carl but we haven't given up yet. We are still working on getting the perfect shot so we will keep you posted. I'm positive that we can get a better shot of him....he is so very pretty. Wish us luck!!
He seems to like to spend his mornings in the front yard so I will be on the lookout bright and early tomorrow morning.
