Brett Favre has told ESPN that he has to have surgery on his ankle. Favre injured himself during the NFC Championship game between the Vikings and Saints at the end of last season.
Favre told ESPN his ankle is still painful and swollen. An orthopedic surgeon reportedly did some tests on Favre's bum ankle and told him surgery is unavoidable.
No word on whether Favre's schedule any kind of medical procedure.
avre has not said if he plans to return to the field with the Vikings this fall.
Message to Brett: You've done it all; what is left to do? Get your ankle fixed and get off the field so you can run and play with your new grandson. Start the next chapter of your life which will give you the time to spend with your wife who has beat cancer, your youngest daughter who would probably love having her daddy home all the time and just being "Grandpa". What more could you ask for? You've broken records, you're going down in the sports history books as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all times. Sure, you LOVE the game but eventually we all need to grow up and realize that we have to keep moving in our lives and say goodbye to old loves and move on to the ones that have been left behind for so long. Move on and enjoy a new chapter in your life!
