Ewwwwwww!

Back when Gandpa's sandwich keeper was the highlight of a blog, Olive Loaf was mentioned.  Well, here is a photo of that disgusting lunch meat.  I personally hope that it is the last package to make it into our house EVER since Grandpa is retiring and won't be packing himself sandwiches anymore (that is unless he gets his coveted job at Dollywood - driving the tram - and he needs to take a lunch).  You really can't tell by the photo but this stuff is really slimy, probably from the olives and I won't even touch it, much less even go NEAR it!  First of all, I cannot wrap myself around the idea of eating olives on a sandwich to begin with.  Olives are meant to be eaten as a "pop-in-your-mouth" side dish, not smashed together with whatever that lunch meat is (heaven only knows what THAT is made of) and stuck between two pieces of bread. Second, you PAY to have those olives in there (oh, and those red things - those I believe are pimentos) and it isn't cheap!  Compared to just plain baloney, we are talking big bucks!!

I guess it only fitting that Grandpa should have his favorite sandwiches on his last week of work.....just as long as I don't have to touch them!
