I'm an early riser and when I looked outside this morning, this is what I saw. Mist, fog and just plain 'gloom'. It's that time of the year when Mother Nature can't make up her mind whether to hang onto winter a little longer or let spring arrive. It's that 'in between' time when the grass is still yellow and mushy from the winter snow and the gardens are starting to reappear but are not the most attractive to look at with dead plants left over from the fall season. It's the "Yucky" season....yes, that's what I think we'll call it. (I'm trying to get myself to stop using the word "crappy"...will soon be living with two sets of little ears so I need to clean up my mouth....so says Grandpa). So, the Yucky season is upon us and I'm telling myself that it's ok...that, this will too lead to better things; like the grass turning green (and dry), spring flowers popping up and the sun shining. So while the Yucky season is surrounding us with fog and gloom, I will keep reminding myself that the best is yet to come. Mother Nature knows what she is doing and she will win out in the end.
Now, if we could just keep from losing an hour on Saturday.......
