This is Grandpa's chair in the living room; it's in his little corner of the room where he has everthing that he needs to enjoy a relaxing interlude watching T.V. and SNACK! As we all know, it's hard to watch T.V. without stuffing your face with something; epecially if at one time you were a smoker. So, Grandpa has a snack box sitting right next to his chair; within reach at all times for that quick 'snack fix'. Above is a collection of some of the snack items you might find in Grandpa's snack box at any given time. As you can see, the important food groups are covered; grains, nuts, sugar and chocolate. Grandpa gets some of his snacks from Sam's Club like the big container of pretzels (as you can see, he has a 'spare' since the other is almost empty - we certainly would not want him to be caught without a pretzel nugget when he is craving one). The chocolate covered raisins also come from Sam's where the price is pretty good. The rest of the goodies look like they came from Walmart, orange slices, gummy something, some hard cinnamon candy and the nuts. Now, this does not include the snacks he has from the freezer or refrigerator. That would be a whole other array of food.
Now, this is how Grandpa's snack box looks all put together sitting next to his chair. You might notice he also has a backscratcher in their too.....never can tell when you might get that itch! I like to make sure his box is well-stocked so when I'm out running around and happen to see something I think he might like, I pick it up for him. I especially like to buy those "theater size" boxes of candy like Milk Duds, Good 'n Plenty and JuJu Fruits when I can grab them for $1 a box. Actually, I usually can't go anywhere and not come home with something for him; sometimes it's big and somtimes it's small but I love bringing him home a surprise!
Grandpa's snack box has also been a nice surprise for more than one grandchild cruising on through the livingroom.

Grandkids are always welcome to visit the snack box..just learn to say "please"
The pretzels are awesome!!!! They remind of when we were younger and we would go with you to that "beer store" and they would give us huge pretzel sticks.
