Winter Storm Warning, Weather Advisory

MILWAUKEE - Southeastern Wisconsin, prepare for another big bout of the white stuff coming our way.

"We have a pretty big snowstorm that doesn't look like it's going to hit until late tonight, sometime after 3:00 a.m., but then it's going to snow through the day tomorrow," said Storm Team 4Caster Craig Koplien. "It's going to be heavy at times. It's going to be a light, fluffy snow, so when the winds pick up, we're going to have a lot of blowing and drifting going on as well."
All this has prompted a combination of a Winter Storm Warning and Advisory to be issued for Southeastern Wisconsin for 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Thursday.
"It looks like we're going to have between 6" and 10" for most of Southeastern Wisconsin, except for places way west and way north of Milwaukee. Those places (will be) in the 3" to 6" range, but for Milwaukee County, Waukesha County and the surrounding counties, 6" to 10". Those 10" totals will be most common near Lake Michigan. The 6" totals (will be) further inland. That said, 6" or more are pretty significant for everybody."

This is going to be an easy-to-shovel snow. It's going to be kind of a light, powdery snow, so it's going to be easy as far as clearing it away. 6" to 10" inches, I guess, no matter how light it may be, may be a chore to clear away, but at least it's not going to be that real heavy, backbreaking snow."

And in between, you may want to prepare for white-out conditions on the roads and freeways.
"I think that's real possible. We're going to have visibility issues, not only with the falling snow, but also with the snow that's on the ground blowing around through the day tomorrow and through tomorrow night."

Maybe it will miss us.......in your dreams!
