Grandma's Tupperware Cupboard
In another episode of 'Grandma's Kitchen', I bring you to my (what we all call) the "Tupperware Cupboard". It got its name many years ago and in all the years that we have lived here (over 30), it has always been in this spot; even after we remodeled the kitchen. I would not give up this cupboard to have a dishwasher installed and I never regretted it for a moment. This cupboard has kept many toddlers happy over the years, starting with Shelly and Becky and now their kids have had their chance to wonder through the collection of Grandma's storage containers. Like the silverware drawer, it's name is a little deceiving. Yes, it does contain Tupperware but also Rubbermaid, mixing bowls, measuring cups, strainers, and lids to containers that have been long gone. In fact, there is probably less Tupperware in there than anything else. But it is a 'magic kingdom' to a toddler who needs something new to occupy themselves when the regular toys just won't cut it. Just open the doors and let them go!!
Here, Trinity decided to have a little snack while she was organizing the Tupperware Cupboard. By the photo, it looks like she was 3 or 4 at the time. She is now almost 7.
And John was quite taken by the funnel found in the cupboard when he had his chance to play in there as a toddler. John is now 3. Looks like he was also given some cans out of the "Can Cupboard" to keep him busy. Anything that works!!
Every house should have a Tupperware Cupboard...especially, if the house is blessed with children and then grandchildren.
